Assure Model
Topic: Context Clues
Subject: English
Class Level: Second Year Highscool
Age: 13 – 15 years’ old
Analyze Learners
This lesson is prepared for 2nd year highschool student. This class has a population of 40 students there are 20 boys and 20 girls in the class. The students learning varies from auditory to visual and also kinetic learners. In order to ensure that the students actually learn, each style must be considered.
State Objectives
After viewing a digital video about context clues
1. Identify what is Context Clues
2. Identifying the missing words from the sentence using context clues
After viewing interactive Learning Material students will:
1. Determine the meaning of unknown words using a variety of context clues, including words, sentence and paragraph clues.
2. Find and define unknown words in a book using context clues.
Select Media, Materials, Method
Media
Projector – the teacher will use projector to allow students
to view the publish video and the PowerPoint
PowerPoint – the teacher will use PowerPoint for discussion session
Materials
Chalk – to write in the white board or greenboard
white board or green board – student’s activity on the board
Methods

Preview the Materials
The teacher will listen to the publish video to ensure that the video is w
orking and the audio is clear. The teacher will test the overhead projector and the PowerPoint ensuring their capabilities.
Prepare the Materials
The teacher will set up the overhead projector and PowerPoint b
efore the class. This equipment will then be turned on and tested.
Prepare the Environment
The setting will be arranged so that the students will have a clear view in the projection.
Prepare the Learners
The teacher will inform the students of the activities planned before the class. The students will be informed the exercises that they will be given at the end of the class. By doing this the students will be comfortable when the class begins.
Require Learner Participation
The students will view a publish video and PowerPoint about the Context Clues. After the presentation and discussion there will be a question-answer between the teacher and the students and they will also be given an activity.
Evaluate and Revise
The student’s learning and understanding of the topic will be assessed based on the activity that the teacher will give.
Reflection:
the activity is a sample lesson plan using Assure method and TPACK, SAMR and Dale's Cone of Experiences which helped me in the process to make this lesson plan. I used TPACK in selecting and using hardware and software such as I used projector and PowerPoint for my lesson. then, SAMR was used in this lesson plan by letting the students watch a published video that tackles about the topic. last is the Dale's Cone of Experience is used, the students will be participating in a discussion. In doing this activity I feel like I am already a teacher and I enjoyed it so much. I think Moderately well because I enjoyed making lesson plan. I learned from the experience is that it is pressured to be a teacher because you need to think what's best for your students and the approach that will make them understand and learn the lesson that you are teaching.
